By accessing or using WaterVerge, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use the site.

2. Informational Purposes Only

Water quality data can change frequently as utilities update their treatment processes and monitoring results. Regulatory reporting involves inherent delays between when water is tested and when results are published. Additionally, individual home plumbing materials, age, and condition can significantly affect the quality of water at your tap, meaning system-level data may not fully reflect what comes out of your faucet.

WaterVerge aggregates and presents publicly available data to make it more accessible, but this information should not be used as a substitute for professional evaluation of your specific water supply.

3. Data Accuracy

WaterVerge sources data from the EPA Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS), the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR 5), and state environmental and health agencies. We make our best efforts to ensure accuracy, but we cannot guarantee that all data is complete, current, or error-free.

Water utilities self-report data to the EPA, which may contain delays, corrections, or inconsistencies. WaterVerge is not responsible for inaccuracies in source data provided by utilities or government agencies.

4. No Warranties

This site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

5. Limitation of Liability

WaterVerge and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, reliance on its content, or inability to access the site. Users assume all risk for decisions made based on data or analysis presented on WaterVerge.

6. Intellectual Property

WaterVerge original analysis, commentary, design, and site content are proprietary and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. EPA water quality data and other government data presented on the site are in the public domain.

Attribution is required for any republication or redistribution of WaterVerge original analysis or content. You may link to WaterVerge pages freely.

7. Acceptable Use

When using WaterVerge, you agree not to:

• Use automated scraping, bots, or data harvesting tools without prior written permission.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with WaterVerge or imply endorsement by WaterVerge.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an undue burden on the site's operation or infrastructure.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems.
